Dear Parents,

This is our review week for Unit 1 of Reading Street, therefore we have review spelling words. We will be taking the unit test on Wed and Thursday. The children can review the types of sentences at home if you would like. They are declarative, interrogative, exclamatory, and imperative. We also studied complex and simple sentences. Within the sentences we learned complete and dependent phrases. With all these terms in gets very confusing.

In Math, we have started learning multiplication and division. I will be giving them timed tests throughout the year, so please remember to practice these facts frequently.

Rotations begin on Wednesday. You will be getting a letter from your child's teacher explaining the expectations for the class. Rotations is another way for the children to learn to have some independence and develop responsibility. They take great pride in being able to go to Rotations.
