Dear Parents,

The children had a great week, ending in a Valentine party. Thank you to all who supplied goodies for the children and thank you to Kim Kaslowski for organizing it. On Friday, we also baked bread to coincide with our reading unit on microbes.

We got the results back from the online reading test and all the children did very well. I was very pleased with the results. Then I received more good news when I scored the mid-year math test. It looks like the kids are secure in the skills that they need for fourth grade, so far. Soon you will be receiving the results of the NECAP testing which they participated in this fall. I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised, too.

Some students have been telling me that they would like to do some more math practice on line.
I have given them some sites, but would also like to share with you the Everyday math site.
You can get some tutorials there for anything we teach in fourth grade. Just go to Everydaymathonline.com and then click on algorithms. It is free!
